How To Register Your Child for Steele

Tour the school. Tours are required before enrollment closes or before an acceptance can be offered. Contact the Tours Coordinator to schedule your individual tour. Please be sure to note that you would like a tour in your message. (Current Steele families skip this step.)

Complete the short registration form online. Registration forms for the next school year are available beginning January 1.

Submit a non-refundable $35 registration fee ($15 for each additional child in a family). The registration fee may be paid via PayPal at the other forms of payment link or via check made out to Steele Cooperative Preschool. Please include your child's name in the memo regardless of payment method to avoid delays in processing.
Enrollment Calendar
- September: School begins the day after Labor Day. School is open to individual tours. Contact the Tours Coordinator to schedule your individual tour. (Please be sure to select tours as the inquiry type)
- January 1: Registration opens
- March 1: Registration closes
- April 1: Enrollment Form and Parent Participation Contract due
- May 1: One month’s tuition deposit due
- August 15: Beginning of school year paperwork due.

Enrollment Overview
Families who have toured the school will submit a registration application and $35 fee by the March 1 deadline. By the end of March, a lottery is run with priority given to children of our board and staff, returning students, siblings, and alumni, in that order. Those offered a spot are required by May 1 to submit a full application and a non-refundable deposit of one month’s tuition to secure the spot. Children who are registered after the First Round automatically go on the waitlist, unless spaces are available. In the first week of May, open positions are offered to children on the waitlist. Waitlists do not carry over from year to year. For families with students 4-5 years old, Steele is a member of the Denver Preschool Program (DPP) and Universal Preschool (UPK) Colorado. Both of these programs provide funds for your student the year before kindergarten.
